My daughter races mountain and gravel bikes in the pro/elite class (humble brag) (but she has a full-time job, so she doesn't do this full-time). She was visiting her parents (one of which I am) and her bike had trouble shifting (SRAM Electronic). Her thought was a bent chain hanger, but a quick chain measurement showed a worn chain. She usually has her bike maintenance done by her sponsor's shop, but she was 400 miles away from that shop. Luckily, i had a KMC 12-speed chain in stock (for my wife's tall boy), so I swapped chains. (I quickly bought another to keep stock.)
Problem solved! She actually preferred the shifting characteristics of the KMC chain to the SRAM which was on her bike. She did very well in her race with the new chain, so winner all around.

Chain broke in 78 miles of use on new bike. Warranty response by KMC is non existent. Multiple attempts to contact have gone unanswered.

My wife has a Santa Cruze Tallboy, and it was time for a new chain. I've had super good luck with the 12 speed road chain for my Campy-equipped bike, so when it was time for a new chain for the tall boy, it was going to be a KMC. (I bought a few missing links as well. Very helpful for chain maintenance.)
It's early on the KMC for the mountain bike, but if it works like my road chain, we'll be good to go. On the stand, shifting is good, chain is quiet, and it rides the sprockets really well. We'll see how things go, but I am optimistic.

I have over 1,000 miles so far on this chain and it's been great so far. Looks amazing. My only complaint is that the weight spec is WAY off from what is advertised. The website claims 234g but I weighed mine at 271g straight out the box. That was a bummer, hope they can fix that claim, and even better if a SL version gets released.

KMC continues to put out amazing chains for a great price point. I run 12 speed Campy, Shimano, and SRAM and wanted a chain that could go on any of them. Campy chains are too expensive and SRAM chains are trash at best, so KMC fits the bill for all of them. They run quiet and crisp on all the gruppos I run.
