When I turned 60, i decided that it was now or never to have a Campy-equipped road bike. (I've wanted one since I saw Breaking Away in 1980.)
"Now" won, and I had a custom frame made, and on that frame went Campy 12-speed Record/Super Record cable drivetrain, and Campy rim brakes. (photo attached.)
I love Campy, but it's a bit pricey - $38 for a quick link. It turns out that a missing link works just as well as the Campy link for ~15% of the price.
Shame on me for not being a purist, but one who enjoys waxing chains, the KMC is a completely reasonable, attractive, high-performance alternative to the Campy quick link. It's what I use henceforth.
Always good to have a spare set on you. Also important for those of us who wax our chains to replace as necessary when removing the chain from the bike for a fresh coat of wax.
