Lenzerheide World Cup: Frameworks Racing / TRP Takes the Crown

The Frameworks Racing / TRP team walks away proud from the World Cup weekend in Lenzerheide, Switzerland with podium finishes, lessons learned and big celebrations all around.

Anna Newkirk made a historic first-place finish in the Elite UCI Downhill World Cup being the first American woman to win in 23 years.

Newkirk set the tone early by claiming the top spot in Elite Women’s Q1 Qualifying before backing it up with a flawless Finals run. Dropping in last for the first time in her career, she handled the pressure with confidence and composure, ultimately taking the top step of the podium and capping off a dominant weekend. Not to mention, this was her first World Cup finish.

The result moved Newkirk up into second place in the Elite Women’s Overall World Cup standings while also securing her first place spot for podium celebrations.

Clinching the first place title as the last rider down the hill

In the Elite Men’s field, Asa Vermette continued his impressive season. After advancing through Q2 Qualifying with a sixth-place finish, Asa delivered an outstanding Finals run, charging through the second half of the course to secure third place.

Vermette's second World Cup podium of the season moves him into third overall in the Elite Men’s World Cup standings

Raina Logar

Junior rider Logar continued to gain valuable experience on the world stage, qualifying fifth in the Junior Women’s field before finishing seventh in only her second World Cup Finals appearance

While Mikey Delesalle did not advance to the Elite Men’s Finals, and juniors Zanna Logar and Jack McCredie narrowly missed qualification, every rider showed determination and commitment throughout the weekend. We continue to be impressed by the new talent rising up in the standings as the competition season progresses.

We’re incredibly proud of the entire team. Anna’s breakthrough victory is a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and hard work that our athletes and staff bring to the program every day. Results like these are earned through years of commitment, and it’s exciting to see that effort paying off on the sport’s biggest stage.
