Frameworks Racing Takes on Andorra

Pal Arinsal - Andorra

Nestled in the Pyrenees mountains between Spain and France, Frameworks Racing competed last weekend at Pal Arinsal for the 2026 Andorra UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Cup. Frameworks Racing concluded an impressive seven-week World Cup race block that took them to Andorra for another weekend of strong performances across the team.

Asa Vermette qualified 20th in a highly competitive Elite Men's Q1. He responded with an outstanding Finals run, overcoming a late mechanical issue to finish 4th. Vermette heads into the mid-season break ranked 3rd overall in the Elite Men's World Cup standings.

Anna Newkirk advanced through Elite Women's Q2 Qualifying with a 4th-place finish before delivering another strong Finals run to secure 4th place, narrowly missing the podium by just over half a second. She closes out the first half of the season sitting 4th overall in the Elite Women's World Cup standings.

Aaron Gwin qualified 18th in Elite Men's Q1 and improved one position in Finals to finish 17th. Gwin continues to build momentum with consistent, quality performances, and the team is excited to see what the second half of the season holds.

Mikey Delesalle qualified 15th in Elite Men's Q1 to earn his second career World Cup Finals appearance. A promising Finals run was interrupted by a minor crash, resulting in a 26th-place finish. Delesalle wraps up this race block with tremendous confidence after consistently proving he can compete at the highest level.

Jack McCredie narrowly missed qualifying for the Junior Men's Finals, but finishes this stretch of racing with valuable experience, continued progress, and a strong foundation to build on for the remainder of the season.

Raina and Zanna Logar headed home after last week’s race in La Thuile. Despite their departure from the European circuit, they’ll be racing at the Monster Pro DH Series stop in Solitude, UT July 17th – 19th.
