Frameworks Racing Wins At Hardline Tasmania

The Frameworks Racing / TRP crew made the long journey to Tasmania last week to face off against one of the most daunting downhill tracks on the planet at Red Bull Hardline. For Asa, it marked a return to the venue following a razor-thin second-place finish in 2025, while it was Aaron Gwin’s first time lining up at the iconic event.

Hardline stands apart from any other stop on the calendar. It’s as much a gathering of the downhill community as it is a race. Riders spent three full days working through the course together, sessioning each feature until they felt confident enough to attempt a full top-to-bottom run. With a massive drop waiting just ten feet out of the start gate, a high-speed motorway of jumps stretching 60–80 feet from takeoff to landing near the finish, and relentless technical terrain throughout, it’s clear why extra preparation is essential before race day.

In the end, heavy rain on the final day forced organizers to cancel finals, as the soaked course made the already enormous features too dangerous to ride. With no final runs possible, seeding times from the previous day became the official results. Thankfully, Asa delivered a standout seeding run, stopping the clock two seconds ahead of the field to secure the win. Aaron Gwin also impressed in his Hardline debut, earning a strong fifth-place finish.

Nothing comes easy at Hardline. While both riders would have welcomed the chance to refine their lines and push for even more on race day, we’re incredibly proud of their performances and can’t wait to return next year.
